I am presently majoring in French at Barnard College, Columbia University. My emphasis is in Language, Literature, and Culture. I have also completed a minor in Physics. I spent last semester in France, honing the language skills I have acquired across nine years of French studies. While I was there, I earned a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification, during which I worked one-on-one with students aged eight through seventeen. I have a powerful enthusiasm for French and an affinity for teaching. I hope, eventually, to become a professor of French. At present, I am well equipped and willing to assist any student with French language, whether speaking, writing, or reading -- from the most basic level to the most highly advanced. I also have a solid foundation in French culture, including classic French literature. Though French is clearly my first love, it's not the only subject I tutor. I am also qualified and willing to tutor students in Math, from the elementary level through high school level. When I'm not working, you may find me ice skating, playing my guitar or singing, making jewelry, or participating in sports. I also enjoy classical French theater, art, and dance.
